The Experience

Escape to the tranquil countryside of Chinon, France. Volunteering opportunity for a couple or two individuals from May to June 2025 then September to December 2025. Private gatehouse accommodation is provided in exchange for approximately 20 hours of garden help weekly.

My experience in this volunteer was all I need. Chinon is a super cute town with a lovely surroundings. You have bikes to go around, and the conexións between citys is perfect. The work is not complicated, is mostly maintenance the outside of the home. Is better if you come with a friend or partner if you can't stand be by yourself alone...but for me was ideal. I love this parte France, full of châteaus and wine rutes. Completely recommend this experience. Super grateful with Will and Quintin for sharing and open their home 🙏✨

The experience was amazing, we had safety equipment at all times and the right tools, I felt protected at all times. I did fun activities, the bicycles they lent us were in optimal condition. My experience at the home was excellent. Communication with the owner, Will, was always kind and attentive, and Quintin, who showed us the property and assigned tasks, was exceptional and inspiring. The work schedule was flexible, which was perfect for us as remote workers. The accommodation is very comfortable, and the provided bikes make exploring the surroundings easy. I fully recommend this experience.

My friend and I traveled to Chinon together and had such a great experience! Everything we could possibly need was provided for us and communication was great. Will and Quinton were amazing! We loved the towns and really got to experience Chinon and the neighboring towns! Quinton would message us about events happening in town which allowed us to engage with the locals! The hours are extremely flexible so it makes traveling around France doable. The work wasn't difficult and instructions were clear and easily to follow. 10/10 recommend, great experience!

I had the pleasure of staying at Le the home for around two weeks. It was my first experience with Worldpackers, and honestly, it couldn't have been better. Everything was great. The property is simply amazing, located in a quiet neighborhood. The hosts were very hospitable,making me feel right at home. They clearly explained what needed to be done and how I could do it. Everything went exactly as agreed between us. The tasks were a mix of outdoor jobs, such as mowing the lawn,trimming hedges,and other similar duties. Overall,I had a fantastic experience, I highly recommend it!
