Farm helper at a peaceful sanctuary

My experience was good, i met awsome people and i had so much fun with the volunteers. About the voluntaring the food is very vey spicy, the pictures that show in the app are from the temple but the volunteers stay on the farm where the facilities are not the best, sometimes the comunication towards volunteers is not the best, and it depends on the time of the year you go, there are task to perform, some of which are not very interesting and boring. On free days there's no much to do around the place and the city is 1 hour by walk, it was definitely the volunteers who made my stay incredible.

I enjoy my experience in the farm, I met kindly volunteers and our relationship was really good. The food almost always was spicy, so you need to go willing to eat Indian spicy in each meal. KC was an excellent boss, I really liked working with him.

The responsibles are very commanding, I felt more like a slave, not a volunteer. They press you to work fast and blame you for starting late even if you were ready on time. They make you work in the field under the burning sun at 30° heat and your effort is not really appreciated. There's no organisation; people just disappear for hours and don't work. On arrival you don't get any information, e.g. about the meditations you can attend in the temple. On the profile it says you can take yoga classes which is not true. I would not recommend staying longer than two weeks.

If you're curious about the Hare Krshna movement this is the perfect place for you❤️ Delicious indian food! You'll stay in a caravan with bunk beds, showers are located outside. The lounge/kitchen has rats :( and the place is small but improvements are underway right now! The temple is a 15min walk away for lunch. The work is physically demanding but fulfilling. I loved planting veggies! I regret i couldn't stay longer & participate in more temple activities. Thank you so much Krishna & Ramai

Ramai is a good person and good manager. He listen us and always question if we stay good here. All the experience have bad and good part, but with this I recommend this experience. The good is meet another volunteers and conection with them. Bad part is because the pictures in the Worldpackers isn't the same place we live (have this space but far from), some people from the religion Hare Krishna dont will be good with you and you need to know. And the kitchen isn't a good place to make deal, but they will change and I wish be good for another volunteers when they came.

Personally, the experience was good. Unfortunately the host is missing a project or planning with his volunteers, they never gave me a tour of the facilities, the temple and the dormitory are two completely different places. In conclusion, the place is perfect and quiet for people who hate the city and need space to breathe and be calm, they will not lack food and housing, it is just a matter of adapting to some technical flaws that the facilities have due to day-to-day use. Thank you for everything, it was very nice to meet very good people, greetings to all and blessings.

Ramai was very welcoming and kind along with the rest of the staff. The work is easy and straightforward but there's not much work in the winter so it can be boring - would be better in summer. Other volunteers and I took initiative to utilize volunteer opportunities like milking the cows, helping in the preschool/kitchen, going on the school tour - this really enhanced the experience and made it worth it! Living quarters need a lot of work - very dirty and rats everywhere. There is also no yoga which was very disappointing. Fun but needs improvement overall. :)

My first volunteering stint was amazing! Ramai, always helpful and talkative, made the experience enjoyable. Accommodations were fine; comfy beds and heating kept me warm during the cold three weeks. Volunteers need to be committed and autonomous due to the diverse tasks. Cleaning and organization in shared spaces like the kitchen need improvement. Working in the garden was a joy, with friendly people. The food, especially on Fridays, was excellent, and there were delightful snacks twice a week. Participating in Hare Krishna activities was fascinating, showcasing their cultural commitment.

This was my very first experience in volunteering. It was a really nice experience. I guess it was exactly what I was looking for - a real farm life. I guess it is very special place so if you want to come you should read carefully the description and the comments in order to figure out if this is what are you looking for. The time is hitting diferently. I really enjoyed and it really helped to find a piece of myself.
