The Experience

We are a german couple over 60 and live in Portugal for more than 3 years. We have a big garden with 1400 m² which we change step by step to permaculture. We work without chemicals, only on biological basis. We need helping hands mostly in the garden but if qualification is existing also for small projects with electricity, Water, and Wood

Kerstin and Wolfgang are very welcoming and friendly hosts. We learned a lot about permaculture and the work that comes with harvesting your own food. Kerstin makes great meals and can teach you a lot about living sustainably and healthy. We had very intersting conversations with Wolfgang about history and political and social concepts. The room was very clean and cosy. On our days off, we went to the coast and another time to see the city nearby and the ruins in the next town. All in all, we are grateful to have met them and hope others will be able to share our opinion.

Wolfgang and Kirsten were wonderful hosts and live in a beautiful peaceful area just outside of Vouzela. The garden was huge and kept me busy all week. Kirsten cooks whole foods and I have never ate healthier than there. It was amazing all the things that can be consumed that we don't think about. Kirsten is also a wonderful massage therapist so I recommend treating yourself to one. I had a nice room to myself. Wolfgang took me around to see the surrounding areas and it was all in all a wonderful experience.
