Description
Volunteers contribute 350euro per one time cover expenses pick up & drop down - kakirawa 1 day wilpaththu national park safari 2 day Anuradapura city tour 4 hours Boat rides tree house stay jungle walking raswehera temple sun rise and sun set view aukana statue All tickets, transport and reservations are included in the €350 air port pick up (€80)

We were greeted by Nisansala and her wonderful family who helped us along our whole volunteer, from public transport to communicating with locals. Arriving in Bulnewa you realize that you are completely surrounded by nature. The host lady, along with her children are the sweetest! They make sure that you are cared for and are pretty social even though it can be difficult to understand each other sometimes. We met lots of local villagers and participated in traditional buddhist ceremonies! Would definitely recommend it you are looking for an experience that immerses you in the local culture.

The experience was amazing, this is the best way to fully immerse yourself in the local community, both with the school near Kandy and the rural homestay in Bulnewa (prepare yourself to get out of your comfort zone). Both the families were super nice and welcoming and make you feel like a member of the family. All the volunteer activities (very easy working hours) can be easily handled and you'll also have a lot of time to explore and visit!! I really suggest everyone to come here!!

The home at Dinesh's place was amazing. He and his family a very nice, friendly, generous people. There is almost nothing to help with around the house but a lot to explore. The family showed me around the fruit plantations, the river and the Raswehera temple - the best temple I've seen in Sri Lanka. Thank you!
