The Experience

We are looking for free-spirited people to come and help us make this place great again. On the premises we do masonry, carpentry, building with cob and many more, basically we like to work with all kinds of natural materials. We would like to erect a solarium, fix the fence around the premises, build drainage around the house, and build a cellar out of natural materials.

It was a wonderful experience, Alexandra and Oliver are very friendly, respectful and charismatic people. I learned a lot about how to grow my own food, they showed me the local culture, they took me to the forests to collect mushrooms which we later prepared for dinner. It was a very nice ecological experience. They showed me how to be more friendly to the planet, use natural resources for daily consumption and I was able to experience rural life inthe home. Totally recommended. I take with me very special memories.

I had such a memorable time with Alexandra, Oliver and their animal friends. They were lovely, welcoming and knowledgeable hosts with good sense of humour and countless stories to tell. Their dedication to the project and cause was very inspiring. I learned a lot about gardening, sustainable lifestyle, local culture and many other subjects.

I spent a week with Alexandra and Oliver, mainly helping them to prepare the garden for winter. They are nice people and their project is very inspiring. Because I was there in November, it was too cold to sleep in the tent, therefore I was sleeping in the living room/kitchen, which lacked some intimacy. The food they cooked was always absolutely delicious, and they made me try severalthe home Romanian dishes that I really enjoyed. However, I was uncomfortable with Oliver's insistence to share his Holocaust denial and anti-Semitic views.
