I had a very memorable time at the lodge. The hosts daughter Vivi and her partner are lovely people who will do what they can to make sure you are comfortable and enjoy your experience. During my time here I had no phone, no computer, and I speak little Spanish, so I was able to fully connect with the environment, and wow. The energy here is so beautiful, and was everything I needed. It was hard to connect and learn as much as I wanted to while I was there because of the language barrier, but it was the perfect opportunity to practice and connect beyond verbal communication. Thank you guys😆💌

It was a good experience overall, a lot of contact with nature and the hotel staff were super kind. However, the electricity didn't work every day, failing frequently, and the Internet did the same thing. Beautiful gardens and a lot of work to do but there is a lack of safety equipment, as the employees themselves said, there have been cases of spider bites while cleaning the green areas due to not having appropriate gloves or shoes. I also felt lonely because there were no other volunteers and the staff stayed at the hotel until lunch, practically no guests.

Es un lugar en medio de la selva, rodeado de naturaleza por donde lo mires. Al inicio fue un reto para mÃ, pero con el pasar del tiempo me fui acostumbrando y termine viviendo una experiencia maravillosa. El silencio tiene sonidos: Los animales, la caÃda de cocos y el fluir del rió. En este lugar llevas un ritmo de vida diferente, mas lento, mas presente y mas real. Las personas del lugar fueron muy amables y junto con la comunidad kogui me hicieron sentir como en casa, ademas tuve la fortuna de coincidir con otra voluntaria, quien fue mi compañera de aventura, de charlas profundas y risas.
