The Experience

I run an agritourism in a beautiful place 15 km from Cefalù in the Madonie Park,in Sicily. We need help with carpentry work, masonry, gardening, horticulture, permaculture, making signposts for the trails in the ancient oak forest, caring for the animals and sometimes serving breakfasts and cleaning common spaces. Ours is also a literary agritourism (with library) and an educational farm.

The farm is a beautiful place. Ninni, the one who managed the team most of the time, is a wonderful man. Work was not as expected, for the most part, as I spent the first couple weeks of my time working in the restaurant as a waiter and dishwasher. However, we got lucky and it was more fun than stressful. I thoroughly enjoyed my free time exploring the farm and surrounding area. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill as soon as the host, Leonora, was present more often. She is unable to take responsibility for anything and expects us to run the place with minimal guidance

My time at the farm was lovely. The property is beautiful and well-suited for getting in touch with nature. The team and other volunteers are what made the experience though. Thank you Nini, Antonio, and Margue! I had the best time.

The place was super peaceful and a great place for me to relax during my travels. The team there was my favorite though. There are all amazing people and it was super nice to get to know them, share meals, laughs and stories. The property is huge and is home to some really lovely animals that I said hi to everyday. The food that comes with the volunteering is super delicious and cooked with love. The work was easy, I helped with the service of lunch and dinner. Thank you so much for a lovely time :)

My experience at the farm was incredible!!! The host Leonora was willing even before we arrived, answering any questions. The host and the team are fantastic, everyone is incredible people. The farm is charming with lots animals, mountains and space to walk. If you want a satisfactory service, have contact with nature, get to know the local culture and have a good time, I highly recommend this experience. I just have to thank you for everything, I felt at home. Grazie mille Leonora, Ninni, the team and the volunteers who shared the days with us. They will forever be in our hearts.
