This was our first worldpackers experience, so staying there for 2 weeks was great for us as beginners. The team was really welcoming from the start and we felt comfortable right away. The tasks were manageable and the colleagues were always ready to help us out. We shared our room with other worldpackers which was convenient for forming connections easily. Weimar itself is a rather small but historically interesting city, but it was really easy to get to other bigger cities in the area. Overall we're really thankful for the experience and would recommend to any other worldpacker!

My experience at the hostel exceeded my expectations. The work was straightforward, and the hostel staff were fun and accommodating. Our schedules were always respected, and the accommodations were excellent. Weimar is a small city, so there isn't much to do, but it's only 15 minutes away from Erfurt or other larger cities if you want something more lively. We had breakfast every day and dinner on days when hostel guests purchased it. Most of the work involved helping in the hostel kitchen during breakfast, especially with cleaning. The experience was fantastic

The staff is super friendly and kind, the work was simple and not very tiring which allows you to visit the city after. The city is small but full of history. It is walkable and quite interesting and delightful.

I stayed at the hostel for 3 weeks, and I have to say that it was a very good experience. The people who work there are really friendly, the place is very warm and comfortable. The breakfasts were also very complete. Work hours are respected. Weimar is a small city but you have interesting places to see, and by train you can go to see other cities. I am very grateful to everyone, I hope we see each other again! :)

Having spent around 3 weeks I have to say that I enjoyed working at the hostel, all the staff are amazing people, always helpful, kind, with such good vibes. For me the most important and the best ๐ŸŒŸ Some tasks may be challenging at times but overall they are ok ๐Ÿ‘Œ Having said that, Weimar is a place I wouldn't recommend staying for over 2 weeks, although you can travel around and sightsee more cities.

I came to the hostel to volunteer and I noticed so many red flags. The receptionist, Martin, is aggressive and ill-tempered, making my coworkers afraid to approach him. The shower head in our room was broken, and while it was eventually fixed, the repairman left his tools in the bathroom so he can pop in anytime and collect them โ“ The workload is exhausting, and the tasks are demanding-like taking the leaves where human feces were found ๐Ÿคฎ. On my final day, the trainee Aamir sexually assaulted me and asked me to a fight. On the prior day he repeatedly asked if my coworker was a womanโ“

I'd like to give a statement to your feedback.

Firstly, my technician forgot his tool after repairing the shower and yes, he is allowed to enter all the rooms but before he does he always knocks. We have to check all rooms constantly because we have different guests coming and going on a daily basis.

Secondly, the description says that it can be tough and tiring at times but with the right mindset and spirit, it can be fun, too. Talking about leaves: On some days you had to collect the leaves and usually my technician only needs approximately one hour to finish, you on the contrary needed at least 4h. In the end, all that mattered to me was that the work was done.

Lastly, I don't know what kind of perception you have but your accusations are all lies! The supervisor and another volunteer were there when you had a heated discussion. Even the CCTV could prove that you lied. I asked the coworker if my student really asked him if he was a woman and he said no!

Volunteering at the hostel was great! The staff was friendly, and I usually got along with the other worldpackers. The work is easy to get, and the staff is there to help you as well if needed. The food provided usually filled me up and was delicious!

If you are looking for a social and entertaining hostel/environment, this is not your place. When we arrived there nobody told us what to do or where to go, and even more, the first contact with the staff was pretty bad. The work is not a volunteering work. The company hires less workers in order to take more volunteers (no to pay those salaries), so the volunteers are working as much as the workers there, but of course, without any salary. They provide you food for breakfast and dinner that is quite good, but you work that much that you dont even feel going out. I would never recommend it.

It was my first experience working in a hostel. The atmosphere is nice, lots of tourists and students. Although the tasks are a bit hard, they are easy to do. Weimar is a lovely city, clean, organized, with a nice bus system and which offers lots of culture possibilities. It's worth to know!
