I had an amazing time meeting people that I will cherish for the rest of my life. The project itself was not what I was expecting, but we made the best out of it.

Be prepared to camp, you will make the most of it and have fun but it is in the middle of the jungle.

This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our hosts, Robi and Val, were absolutely wonderful, genuine, welcoming, and inspiring people who made the entire experience worthwhile. As a very selective eater, I did find the meals a bit challenging, but it was still a great opportunity to try new foods (bring some of your own snacks). The chore work was both meaningful and rewarding, and connecting with people from all over the world made the experience even more special. The cold showers were refreshing! I would personally not book through Epic Trips again, you will spend 3x the amount.

I had a really great time at the camp. The people were great and the staff was very knowledgable about the area. Sadly, I was not able to see any turtles but that could not really be controlled, I just wished we were warned beforehand because it was advertised as more of a guarantee. Overall a great week however and I learned so much from everyone!

Good experience and enviroment. Very nice opportunity to imerse in the nature and meet people from different cultures. The duties during the day were respected and werent very tiring. The food was good, consisted of a vegetarian diet. The people who received us were very friendly and welcoming. In general it was a happy place. The only thing I would suggest is a renovation in the infraestructure, do more bathrooms and toilets and also improve the quality of the bed in the rooms. Personally my bed wasnt confortable.

I went to the shelter for 2 weeks at the beginning of February which meant it wasn't quite turtle season yet. The location of the camp is very remote, it's in the middle of no where and the closest town is an hour away. Being so far from town was something that i personally found pretty hard during the first week, but then you get used to it. The staff at camp were all friendly, and the people you will meet are what will make the experience special. I recommend going if you want an authentic experience in the middle of the jungle, where you will be surrounded by lots of different animals!

Only spent a week at the camp but loved every second and could've stayed much longer if i'd had the time!! shifts are fair and well-managed, and the camp was really social which made me feel at home as a solo traveller. you are really able to get stuck in with the work that you do, and you learn so much about turtles and conservation. it is such an incredible experience to get to release the turtles into the ocean, and one that i'll never forget. really recommend this organization, thank you to Ricardo, Luis and my campmates for making it so special. please message me for any more details!:)

Indescribable!! Be prepared for basic living conditions but a place and people that fill your heart and take care of each other. The most beautiful place, important work and immersive experience.

I loved it honestly! Luke and Robbie, who were staff members at the camp, are truly amazing! The made the whole experience! Without them, the camp would not be as great! I did my research before coming, but for others I would recommend to read through some comments so you know what you get into. We ate a lot of rise and beans, so just be prepared for that. The camp is located on an island, therefore you are mostly at the camp or around it. If you want to explore a lot of the country or special city's, I would recommend you book a few extra days outside of the camp so that you can explore more.

I love it! It was a bit of adjusting at first but after it was great. Leaving for daytrips isn't easy so you might want to consider leaving a bit of time after your stay to travel for a bit so you can see a bit more of the country. The days are really chill and the work isn't to much. Just don't expect to always have something to do, and relax!! I met a lot of awesome people!! Pura vida!
