The Experience

It's a recent planted coffee field (6 hectares). Now we need to weed, irrigate and fertilize it. We're also building a greenhouse to produce more coffee seedlings. Besides de coffee area, we need to plant, harvest, process (for own consumption) the fruits and vegetables. There's no fixed schedule. Hours may and will vary everyday. It's a farm! So we may have snakes, scorpions, spiders...

My time at the farm with Pedro was the perfect beginning of my travels in Brazil. The farm is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Pedro is very kind, generous and funny. Always available to help, talk, or answer any questions. He knows a lot about coffee of course and also brazilian/bahia history which was very interesting. Work is mostly simple and depends on weather and natural cycles and I've learned a lot. Plus, he cooks amazing. And his dogs are amazing!!! And the adventures we had together were amazing too.I'm very grateful I've been there and have met him. Totally recommend :)

Pedro was our first host and he set the bar incredibly high. He was unbelievably helpful in every way, always making sure we had everything we needed. Over the month, we learned so much from him about the region, agriculture, plants, and even coffee seedling planting . The work was enjoyable and mostly relaxing, and on weekends, he took us on amazing adventures-even introducing us to rock climbing! I absolutely loved playing with his adorable dogs. Pedro quickly became a great friend, and I truly hope we get the chance to work together again in the future. 10/10 good soup 😉 Flóra & Mandula

Pedro was our first host, who put the stake super high. He taught us so so much about the region and about agriculture and plants, took us on adventures on the weekends and we got to try rock climbing with him too. He cooked us delicious meals and was helpful in unimaginable ways... The work was fun and mostly relaxing, and Pedro became a great friend over this month. 10/10 would recommend, good soup. Pedro was a lovely host who went above and beyond to make the stay special :) he cooked amazing food for breakfast and lunches, gave us tours of the local area and coffee farms, took us to the national park on a beautiful hike and so much more! His home was also beautiful and the work was enjoyable and rewarding :)
