I volunteered at the hostelfor three weeks in June. It's a peaceful place deep in thethethethe hostel, surrounded by nature. Daan, the host, is thoughtful and dedicated, with great attention to detail. The atmosphere was warm and trusting from the start—everyone here shares a love for nature and sustainable living. I helped build the kitchen and a treehouse, and took turns cooking. We shared meals, played games, and relaxed by the river. I wish I could've stayed longer and hope to return one day.

Our host is very energetic with a clear values-driven and creative vision for histhe hostel project(s). Managing the efforts of the ever shifting numbers, experience and intentions of the volunteers is a challenge that he navigates deftly. There are greater needs and responsibilities than can be met by a few volunteers, so everyone has to pull their weight and be proactive. Friendships and inspiring connections form quickly the more we engage. The trick is to also manage our own downtime effectively, or time passes by far too quickly. This remote location is magical and well worth the trip.

The hostelis an amazing place in thethethethe hostel. Daan is a really interesting dude with an on going vision. It has been a pleasure for Veronica and I to have been included in his process and a delight to improve out Spanish with the ever patient Rodolfo. The work has been strenuous but very satisfying. While here we were part of a team which felt like a familly. We highly recommend this project for proactive, consciencious folk who enjoy collaboration.

The hostelis a beautiful place located in thethethethe hostel. I enjoyed every day by the rivers and waterfalls, surrounded by enormous trees and many colorful birds like toucans, hummingbirds, and eagles. The work of collecting natural materials, although physically demanding, is varied and done by forming human chains. The food is vegan, so if you have specific dietary preferences, you should get them separately. I prepared meals to everyone's taste, and they will also remember me for my cakes and Colombian arepas. ¡See you next time!

What an amazing adventure this was! From the moment I arrived at the hostelI knew I found the perfect place to connect with thethethethe hostel. Daan is a wise and respectful host, and he has an endless array of knowledge as well as a constant desire to learn. Rodolfo was the kindest Spanish teachers I've ever had, and one of my closest friends during my stay. The friendships I made, the meals we shared, and the scenery were all unforgettable. I learned about sustainable building, indigenous tribes, and most importantly, the joy of community in athe the hostelparadise.
