The Experience

We are looking for female volunteer for our guesthouse. Most chores are to be completed in the day time and before check in time. Rest day is on weekday, choose any one day between Monday to Thursday. Daily task: 1. Maintenance of cleanliness of the toilets, rooms, and common area; 2. Laundry works, and prepare the beds for the day; 3. Standby for late check in; 4. Upkeep of plants, etc.

  • Between 20 and 43 years old
  • Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

I really enjoyed my time here. The work is fairly easy. I mostly did housekeeping, and a bit of reception. The work hours were flexible, as long as everything was ready for the guests. Jen is an amazing host, very friendly and kind. I would definitely recommend this place 🌞

My experience in the hostel was incredible, first of all Penang Island is wonderful, Jean is an incredible person and woman, she is very kind and we connected like friends also. My work in the hostel was so easy and Jean is so flexible and like to share with volunteers and recommend places to eat and visit 😊 I felt very welcomed and I discovered new friends with the travelers of different countries, and also with Jean, the place is perfect to connect with the feminine energy. I really recommend it.✨

My stay at the Guest House was so good! The place is confortable, quiet and is very well located. And Jean, the owner, so respectfull and lovely! From the very begining the communication with her was really good. Also, cause the city and the island has a lot to offer, she was always interested in recomending the best places to visit. Regarding the job, was very simple and with plenty of time to enjoy Penang 🙂. Highly recommended!
