The work at the hostel is fair and simple, never exceeding 4h a day. I had my own room, but also a common space with mountain view and a lovely café to spend my time at. Akita, a prefecture not yet known to most tourists, offers a great opportunity to connect with locals and to experience authentic Japanese lifestyle while living in the middle of stunningly beautiful nature. In my time in Akita, I could make so many unique experiences exceeding this review's word limit. All that was thanks to the kind and warm-hearted people in the hostel team, who made me feel welcomed from the first day

A truly wonderful place for meeting locals and if you want to learn Japanese. The team was welcoming and lovely to work with. They are super supportive. The work is easy enough to do and can generally be done quicker then the allocated time. The hostel is a little quite, but it still new and becoming more know. But with their bar and cafe on the first floor, there is plenty of opportunities to meet locals and talk to people. It was easy to make friends with the staff, as they do group dinners and events. I'm truly going to miss everyone there, hanging out together and chatting the nights away.

I really enjoyed my stay in Akita and feel very thankful for the time spent with the team of the hostel. The job is strait forward and not really difficult, even tho some days might be busy it's very reasonable. You will stay in a private room in an appartement shared with a really nice employee which is very confortable. The team is composed of young Japanese people, their company is involved in a lot of interesting projects. Everyone was very nice to me, I tried to speak a little japanese but most of the employees speak English so it was very easy to communicate. I will miss this place.
