The experience
We are looking for a responsible, friendly, and organized person to cover the reception at our top-rated hostel in Santa Teresa, Rio.
Your role is key to creating a welcoming, smooth, and safe experience—connecting with travelers, helping with check-ins/outs, providing local info, and collaborating with the team in any way needed.
What you offer
32 hours of help per week
Party Promoter:
Help organise and promote parties and social activities.
Administration:
Help with booking systems and payments.
Cleaning:
Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Reception:
Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

Requirements
Fluent English or Fluent Portuguese
Between 21 and 30 years old
Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details
The position includes 4 working days per week with rotating shifts: three 8-hour shifts (morning or afternoon) and one 6-hour shift.
Activities & Shift
Perform guest check-in and check-out with accuracy and warmth.
Provide information about the hostel, events, and local recommendations.
Manage reservations and payments carefully and efficiently.
Handle inquiries and conflicts patiently and professionally.
Keep the reception area clean and organized.
Support the team with daily tasks or special situations.
Rotating shifts: three days with 8-hour shifts (morning or afternoon), and one 6-hour shift.
