The Experience

You are looking for an opportunity to discover French surf culture and meet people from all around the world ?Join us this season !We need you to help us run our hostel in Biarritz. A little bit of cleaning, making beds, social skills, and getting involved in the hostel life. You will help 11 hours a week and have 1 day off. You will always work in the morning from 11.30am to 12.30pm or from 9.30am to 1pm. Long term appreciated.

I had an amazing experience in the hostel Coast, the hostel is 5 min walk from the beach and 15 from the center, there is a carrefour in the corner. Gladys and Pauline were wonderful, the communication was very good, the tasks are easy and you have too much free time (more than in any other volunteering) the hostel has been one of the best I have ever stayed, the kitchen is very well equipped and everything is very clean. The room and the fridge are shared with the guests (this is a bit more complicated if you stay a long time) but everything is very tidy :) thanks for the amazing experience!

I had a great time in Biarritz! The tasks were well communicated and not too much. So I had a lot of time to surf, and hang out in the city. It was nice to meet many international travellers. You can easily go to Bordeaux, Toulouse or Spain by Bus. The Hostel is really cozy, but keep in mind you'll sleep in the dorm. Thanks for this amazing experience!

My experience in the Coast hostel was great! The tasks were really easy, I had a lot of free time and the location is perfect 5 min away from the beach. Gladys and Pauline were really nice also! It felt like home, I hope to come back one day :))

Thanks to Gladys and Pauline! Great time, marvelous people, stunning pain au chocolat. I was in Garden the hostel. The place is well-located and has a quiet neighborhood. It's near the city center, airport, and trains/buses. 20 minutes walk from the sea and there was a bike available. Tasks were not complicated and I had a lot of free time. Communication was transparent and super good. Good to know - private moments such as reading were sometimes difficult to have due to the proximity of guests. Overall the experience was positive! Big love to Shauna, the other volunteer at Coast <3

I spent 2.5 months volunteering at the hostel-Coast and had a great time! The hostel is very cozy and feels like you're living in a shared apartment with the guests (But you need to be comfortable living with 14 other people!). The hostel facilities are great, the work is very fair and you have plenty of free time to explore Le Pays Basque. The location is amazing, only 5 mins walk to the beach and 15 mins to the centre. Perfect for learning how to surf or just enjoying life by the coast. Lots of daytrips to do in the area too. Thank you Pauline & Gladys, you both are amazing! See you again soon 😊
