I had an amazing volunteering experience! It was not always easy because work in hospitality is challenging, but I learned a lot and had a lot of responsibility which I liked! This volunteering is for people who love to serve other people and help the project grow, who love to communicate, organize and manage! The guest house in Iceland was my first volunteering experience and I'm very happy that I chose it and that they chose me. As for the work, it was nothing difficult or complicated for me, all I did was normal daily activities, but I also learned new things, like baking bread and different cakes. I met only good and kind people here, without whom my experience would not have been so rich. thank you for this opportunity.

I am very grateful for my stay at the guest house. I gained a lot of experience in how a small guesthouse works. The workload is almost full time but manageable. Stunning sunsets and northern lights just outside the house were a great reward. The house is in a perfect spot just outside the city. The accommodation is nice, there is a lot of food and all you may need in a house. I really recommend this work exchange if you want to learn new skills and explore this amazing country on your days off.

Overall a very good experience to discover Iceland. I improved my English and met travelers from other countries. You actually work 40 hours a week (8 hours a day), and the work is somewhat varied such as painting, electricity, plumbing, etc. Communication is another aspect to improve. If you want to discover Iceland it is a very good opportunity, but be prepared to work
