While the hostel is ok, the job is very demanding, almost to the point of being exploitative. The experience did not work for me, so I left after a few shifts after communicating with the owner. The job is far more work (6-7 hours a day, 5 days a week) than any hostel I've worked in with absolutely no benefits other than a small shared room. The job responsibility was cleaning the entire hostel by yourself every day. Far too much work for a volunteer position, and it seemed to me that no one was happy to work there. Everyone waited out their sentence just to explore the island for cheap.

Muchas gracias Brinn!! Saludos (:

I really love this experience working in such a great, energetic environment. I had the pleasure to meet so many different fun individuals. The team works in a good harmony so that I really felt welcome since the beginning. It's a place where you can be yourself. Besides that I was doing my best to ensure every client got the most pleasant stay. Good Communication with the guests was very important to me. I was helping as good as I can using all my 5 languages in order to communicate with guests of different nationalities as well helping my team members with german guests. Beautiful place:)

I had a good time as a volunteer and am very thankful for the experiences I made and the people I met. Working at the hostel was in general a good experience. The agreed upon hours are respected and at times the manager would even cover a shift so that we could do something together as the volunteers. There are two hostels and there are three volunteers in each one taking turns with the shifts. Just know that volunteering at this location, you will always be working alone and the work is almost exclusively cleaning, but you will definitely be practicing a lot of Spanish.

What an Experience! Giovanni is an absolutely fantastic person, who truly treats us like family. He took great care of the volunteers and his love for his hostel is beautiful. I 100% recommend this place as I already miss it (and I left yesterday). Thank you for everything!
