Klemen was very generous and respectful. I had the chance to meet amazing travelers and join incredible tours for free. The tasks are simple to do but you have to know how to clean (or you should ask). Bled is absolutely beautiful – I recommend heading straight into nature after ir before your shift and spending the whole day swimming in the lake :)

Came back for the second time to volunteer in this hostel. I love the vibe. Klemen always make sure, everyone is having a good time, and made sure has a good expirence around the town.

If you enjoy working for someone unstable and unpleasant, go for it! The work isn't difficult in itself, but expect to be criticized constantly without ever being given clear instructions beforehand. Once you start following the rules you're given, they'll change. His expectations shift constantly depending on his mood, his cannabis intake for the day, how many beers he's had, the weather. You're expected to behave "professionally" meanwhile, he acts like a teenager, drinking withat all hours and never welcoming new guests. On top of that, he regularly scams older guests as you can see on maps

The hostel itself is really nice, and the work was easy and fair. It could've been a great place to stay and help out. Unfortunately, the owner was often drinking and smoking, which made things feel a bit unpredictable. There were also a lot of random rules that seemed to change all the time, which created some confusion and tension. 2 other volunteers were kicked out without much explanation, and it made the rest of us feel pretty uneasy. In the end, I decided to leave early because I didn't want to risk being in a tough spot with nowhere to go.

I would not recommend this Worldpackers opportunity. Although the work itself is easy and the location is excellent, the management lets it down. The owner regularly smokes weed and drinks with friends whilst working making it uncomfortable to be around and throughout the stay rules kept being added/changed such as staff being unable to eat in front of guests and eating on a dirty table out the back instead. Due to these issues, I chose to leave the volunteering early as it was not what was advertised.

Klemen is not a nice guy, he is unpredictable, always either drunk or high, he is never nice as he does not give a f***about volunteers. We were leaving as 4 in a container. The beginning was fine but then he started adding new rules: we had to eat away from guests hidden behind a fence with no light, we could not use our phone, could not be with guests during shifts. It was unproductive. He was jealous cause we were getting along with the guests better than he was. He refused to give us a certificate of volunteering. We confronted him and he kicked us out with 1 hour to pack our stuff. Run.

I want to say I am SO grateful to experienced this opportunity at the Hostal. I learned a lot of things, and got to know about the local culture. You are staying in the best the hostel bled so that's the responsibility to handle nothing to worry about but focus on your tasks. The time there goes fast and I want to say thanks to Klemen, Petra and Ab cause they make your stay incredibly amazing! So happy I got to work there. The vibe over there is welcoming! Bled is wonderfully beautiful to visit so I would totally would back to volunteer there. Thank you so much for the opportunity!

I really enjoyed my experience as a volunteer in the hostel! Klemen and Ab were always there if I needed something and they showed me a lot of cool places in Slovenia. They gave me the opportunity to da lot of cool activities for free. Regarding the job, the tasks are quite easy to learn: deep cleaning, preparing the rooms, doing laundry, checking guests in or out... They take their job seriously, so I had to be aware of doing it almost perfectly all the time. Bled is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been and I'll never forget the time I've spent in there. <3

I loved my time here! It's a really fun and social hostel and in such a beautiful location! They offer some free water activities to volunteers which were really fun. The work was easy but I'd recommend asking for more instructions if you're ever unsure of what to do because there was no training. Thanks again to ab and klemen for everything, I'll definitely be back! :)

I really enjoyed my time here. bled is such a special place. the perks of the jobs are incredible! you get access to several free activities in town, such as rafting & canyoning. it's a very social hostel and a lot of fun! my only critique is they don't properly train you and then correct you on things for the next month. still highly recommend!
