My time at CASAVACA was fantastic, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to do their first volunteer trip. The atmosphere feels just like a family. The owners Sol, Mari & Coral, are always there and are truly wonderful people. The hostel is a peaceful and quiet place, which is perfect if you're not looking for a party scene. The hours for volunteers are very flexible, and the tasks, like washing bed linens, are simple and easy to complete. You'll have access to a fully equipped kitchen to cook your own meals, and the location is great. There's a currency exchange, markets, and produce.

The volunteering experience was very relaxed, the hosts gave us authority to choose the days we worked amongst ourselves. You do have to be proactive as they don't explain everything you need to do but it's also good as they are relaxed. You get a really good amount of time off. The location is perfect. The volunteer room is basic but fine. Hosts were great and would provide anything you needed! Would recommend :)

I was a month at the hostel, and it was a good experience! The hostel is very clean, and my tasks during the "turno de la tarde" were quite chill. Mostly check-ins and some light cleaning. I liked having up to three days off in a row. Communication could improve, as some issues came up due to misunderstandings. The location in Palermo is central, though the area is pricey. The volunteers room is small, and the water boiler can be noisy. A more inviting common area would enhance the atmosphere. I learned a lot, improved my Spanish, felt supported by Sol & Mari. I recommend the place!

Agradezco las conversaciones, lo que me enseñaron y, sobre todo, que me trataran como parte de la familia. Desde pequeños gestos, como el día en que Mari me trajo un dulce, hasta los abrazos. Un agradecimiento especial a Cori, que siempre tuvo paciencia para explicarme todo en la recepción, incluso cuando preguntaba varias veces. Las tareas siempre fueron tranquilas, los horarios flexibles y el ambiente del hostel, silencioso y acogedor, me permitieron disfrutar cada día con ligereza. Hice muchas amistades y los voluntarios que conocí se convirtieron en verdaderos amigos.
