The Experience

O Refúgio Samauma Branca é um sítio na ilha Cotijuba, Belém, com aprox. 2 ha produtivos, com árvores frutíferas, horta, galinhas, abelhas e produção de composto, e 7 ha de floresta, que preservamos. Queremos ser autossustentável, aplicando a permacultura. Recebemos 1 voluntária/o, dupla ou casal, de preferência com experiência em agricultura ecológica, que apoiará o desenvolvimento do sítio. Executará as atividades com nosso colaborador fixo.

Meu primeiro voluntariado e fui presenteado com essa experiência incrível de trabalhar na agrofloresta, cuidar dos animais e viver nessa ilha! foi sensacional. Fiz boas amizades e sinto que ainda tenho muita coisa pra viver por aqui por isso já adianto que pretendo voltar hehe Trabalhar com o Alberto foi muito bom, sempre paciente, educado e disposto a ensinar o que sabe. Os horários sempre foram respeitados e a carga horária de trabalho é super justa. E além disso pude deixar um pouco da minha arte As noites de dominó com Sebastián e Geisa foram muito divertidas Gratidão por me receberem!

Geisa e Sebastian sempre muito atenciosos, desde a conversa inicial, minha chegada (um passarinho me contou da operação para ajeitar o meu quarto, tudo com muto carinho rs) até permanência aqui. Alberto, funcionário do Sítio onde as tarefas são realizadas é muito atencioso e paciente, foi minha primeira experiência com jardinagem e plantamos 200 mudas de açaí <3 Os horários das tarefas são bem estabelecidos e respeitados, as tarefas são gostosas de realizar e nossas resenhas vão ficar na memória. Para quem vier: aproveite o jogo de dominó ao som da playlist da Geisa haha Vou sentir falta real!

Escrevo esta avaliação com lágrimas nos olhos, logo após deixar o sítio. Esta foi, de longe, a melhor experiência que tive ao voluntariar. Sebastian foi extremamente solícito e me ajudou com problemas que enfrentei antes de chegar. Durante minha estada na ilha, tive a agradável companhia de Geisa e Alberto, que trouxeram mais cor aos meus dias. A acomodação é excelente, as atividades são moderadas e a troca de trabalho é conduzida com muito respeito e diálogo constante. Este é o voluntariado ideal para viajantes em busca de uma genuína troca cultural. Obrigado por tudo, vocês são incríveis!

Este voluntariado foi tão incrível que voltei o mais rápido possível, e na segunda vez, a experiência conseguiu ser ainda melhor. Sebastian e Geisa são pessoas tão especiais que me senti parte da família. As atividades e horários seguiram sendo acordados com o Alberto de maneira tranquila e eficiente. Se você busca paz, conexão com a natureza e com pessoas boas, imersão na cultura e culinária paraense, além de aprendizado sobre plantio e manejo, este é o lugar! Voltarei assim que puder.

Mi pareja y yo estuvimos en nuestro primer voluntariado con Sebastian y Geisa, y no podíamos haber elegido mejor lugar para empezar. Desde el primer momento en que llegamos nos ayudaron muchísimo a sentirnos cómodos. Cada vez que les preguntábamos algo no sólo respondían nuestras dudas, sino que se tomaban el tiempo de explicar cada detalle. El voluntariado es en una isla paradisíaca poco masificada, llena de personas locales y comida riquísima. El trabajo fue mucho más llevadero gracias a la atmósfera que crearon. ¡Volveríamos mil veces!
