"A home in a foreign land". That's how I'd describe my stay at the hostel. I couldn't ask for more hospitality. João, Carina and Eduarda are the loveliest, kindest, and most helpful people I have ever met in a country that isn't mine. If you are looking for peace, fun and friends, this is the place for you. I made my biggest group of international friends here. Every object in the hostel is so mesmerizing with artistic aura around it. This is my first experience as a Worldpacker and it turned out to be a great one. In simple words, Opportocean is absolutely incredible.

My experience at the hostel was pretty fun. The staff is awesome and I really felt at home. Everyone is treated in the same way (staff+guests) so we usually go out together at night or to the beach. I have to say that some tasks given weren't the ones said on the website what pissed me off a little bit but nothing that a good conversation can't change things. I learned a lot during the weeks I stayed there and I hope to be back in Portugal soon so I can see my the hostel friends again. Saudades, Porto! Beijinhos.

The hostel has a lovely atmosphere since the moment you arrive. It is a new hostel so can see it as soon as you arrive. The staff is always kind and helpful when you need it. Ideal for people who love to surf, meet new people and enjoy. I would definetly go back, I hope it's soon. I started going specting how to learn to surf but now i want to come back to relive the feeling. It is a good iniciative to have a lock in the door so you can go in at the time you wish and not depend of the hour someone is in the reception. You can enjoy an relax in the living room, watch some movie

It has been an amazing experience, I wish I could stay longer. The staff was awesome as well as the environment in the hostel. They treated me as if I was from their family and gave lots of suggestions and tips to explore Oporto. You will have fun with them! I would repeat the experience for sure!

Foram muitos solícitos comigo antes, durante e depois da minha chegada. Sempre muito flexíveis com relação ao meu trabalho remoto na qual realizei juntamente com o voluntariado, onde sugeri de trocar o horário e me atenderam. Sempre dispostos a ensinar de forma correta se algo não estava de acordo. O hostel tem uma ótima localização onde permite se locomover com muita facilidade, tem mercados, shoppings e praia próximos a fazer andando. As tarefas são muito bem explicadas, tem horários e materiais para que consiga trabalhar com tranquilidade. Fica aqui meu respeito à todos!

A casa é relativamente pequena e as tarefas são simples e rotineiras. Pode ser cansativo se a equipe de voluntariado for pequena, mas no geral o staff é muito colaborativo, sempre procura ajudar e os horários são respeitados. O quarto dos voluntários e as casas de banho precisam de algumas pequenas melhorias. Para quem estuda ou trabalha virtualmente não há muitos espaços onde se possa estar tranquilamente. No geral, foi uma boa experiência, em especial pela ajuda da dona Nazaré. Há shoppings e mercado nas proximidades e também está relativamente perto da praia.

Excelente atención por parte de Marcia, Nazaré y Heitor. Las tareas son cansadoras y exigentes, más que una experiencia de voluntariado, es un trabajo a cambio de un lugar donde dormir. A veces excedes el horario acordado, lo cual es retribuido pero depende quien esté en recepción. El recepcionista Fábio y Junior (no voluntario) son groseros, compartes cuarto con ellos quienes en lugar de decir las cosas que les molestan de frente para solucionarlo prefieren ir y decírselo a otros con la excusa de que es lo que “dicen los huéspedes” , generando un ambiente no agradable y poco comunicativo

El hostel es un buen lugar para hacer el voluntariado, sirve para tener una experiencia profesional. Las responsabilidades no eran pesadas, hay que desplazarse entre los pisos por escaleras, siempre tuvimos una guianza de parte del equipo. La habitación de voluntarios es un piso completo sin puerta; aun así, es bastante seguro y privado, adicional que las camas contaban con una cortina para mayor privacidad. Mi horario era de 9am-2pm, quedando con suficiente tiempo para conocer la ciudad, el metro esta a 5 minutos a pie. El equipo tiene una buena comunicación ¡fue una experiencia asombrosa!
