The Experience

Our project is located in a remote part of South Africa on the Elephant Coast , bordering the Isimangaliso Wetlands Park, an UNESCO World Heritage site for biodiversity and natural beauty. Our camp is next to Lake Sibaya, South Africa's biggest fresh water lake, filled with hippo and crocodile. At the moment we are updating the species list, this is a continuous project with the aim to compile detailed species list .Training is provided.

Yebo!!! The only thing better than this little slice of heaven are the people you meet there! Located very remotely it's the perfect place to disconnect from the rush and reconnect with nature! Pieter and Cam are so lovely and make you feel very relaxed and at home ! Whether you enjoy partying, playing chess, or chatting they and the other volunteers are always there for some laughs ! The work is very relaxed and enjoyable and you chose the hours ! Every day is an adventure, whether it's going for nature walks, going to the beach, or helping restore the lodge! The cooking is also amazing !!

Pieter and Cam are absolutely amazing people who will make you feel at home and provide you with a lot of laughter. They are very knowledgable and will help you with any issue and will go above and beyond, I am very grateful to have met them. The project is super interesting, I learnt a lot about the nature in the area and was able to identify so many cool things. It is a great feeling to be able to help towards such an important project! Genuinely had the best time ❤️ and also the food is incredible! 😍
