Finland opens its arms to you if you open yours! The work is done in a second-hand shop with its varied tasks. Communication and work schedules are easy.I didn't have time to be bored during my stay. Tise place has lots of little treasures to discover if you enjoy the nature and test Finnish experiences. Thanks to the the host family for this great experience, I hope to come back to discover a new season :)

It was my first volunteering experience and I am glad I did choose them. First of all they accepted my very spontaneous request (1-2weeks before) and we could also agree on flexible dates (+-2days), which for me as a backpacker, is definitely a big plus :) We agreed my stay for 2 weeks, but by the end I stayed there 17-18 days due to my ferry. It wasn't a problem at all. So in general... when you have an opportunity to visit them, you probably should... Good people, chill atmosphere and a welcoming place... You have what you need and they are always open for new suggestions :)

What can I say about my first experience? I found kindness, willingness to listen and help with assigned tasks. Savitaipale is a lovely tourist village with a wonderful lake to dive into. In addition to working at the flea market, there is also the possibility of spending a few days in the lakeside cottage where you can experience a real Finnish experience in close contact with nature. O lado negativo é que o ambiente pode ser bastante desgastante: a anfitriã muito controladora, acaba explorando os voluntários, a comida oferecida é insuficiente, não sendo considerado nem o mínimo necessário (apenas 15 euros para todos, independente quantos sejam, durante a semana). Além disso, passávamos longas horas na cottage trabalhando, muito mais do que o esperado, tarefas "extras" de convívio. Por outro lado, há pontos positivos: o Ahmed é uma pessoa fantástica, há contato direto com a natureza, oportunidade de conhecer pessoas de outros países e também de praticar o inglês.

Την τρίτη ημέρα με πήγε με ένα φορτηγό να κουβαλήσω από ένα παρατημένο σχολείο μακριά από το κατάστημα που πήγα να προσφέρω τις υπηρεσίες μου κάτι βαριές ντουλάπες και άλλα πράγματα. Παρότι είπα ότι έχω πρόβλημα με την μέση μου έκανα αυτή την μεταφορά που δεν ήταν στην αρμοδιότητα μου για να βοηθήσω αφού με πήγαν πίσω να πάρω μια ζώνη που είχα για το πρόβλημα της μέσης μου. Ύστερα από αυτό μετά δύο ημέρες με ξαναπήγαν σε άλλο μέρος να μετακομίσουμε ένα ολόκληρο σπίτι. Αυτή ήταν η αιτία που έφυγα την άλλη ημέρα. Εάν ήξερα ότι ήθελαν εργάτη να κάνει μετακομίσεις δεν θα πήγαινα.

La experiencia es increíble, vives la verdadera experiencia de un Finlandes, te explican y te cuentan de su cultura, siempre se preocupan que estés bien, tengas todo lo necesario. La flexibilidad con la comida y las horas de trabajo son lo mejor porque te permiten organizarte si como yo trabajas o tienes actividades remotas.
