My time in Finland was fantastic thanks to the stunning nature that surrounded us and also to the cultural experiences that I had there. Sofia is such a nice, welcoming and warm person who very kindly shared with me a lot of information related to Finland and the Finnish language. I had a wonderful time at Savitaipale. This volunteering allows you to discover Finnish nature and Finnish culture. I was more or less autonomous for meals and work schedules which allows to share good times with the volunteers in the beautiful nature. If you are as lucky as me, you will be able to live a wonderful experience in Sophia's cottage, be invited to the Finnish house and see the Northern Lights 😍 Thank you to all the people who work there!

This was an amazing experience for me. I was already in love of Finland when I arrived but now... only solution for me is to come back again. Sofia, Mika and Kamo welcomed me like I was part of their family. And they are surrounded by amazing people like Mohamed, Milja or Ahmed. I don't have enough world to say how much I am thankful right now.

It was an amazing experience. I felt at home from the first day, thanks to the kindness of the people and the hospitality of my the host. The place is beautiful, surrounded by nature that leaves you speechless. Savitaipale and all of Finland surprised me with its beauty and tranquility. I didn't lack anything and everything exceeded my expectations. I recommend this experience without hesitation!

Finland opens its arms to you if you open yours! The work is done in a second-hand shop with its varied tasks. Communication and work schedules are easy.I didn't have time to be bored during my stay. Tise place has lots of little treasures to discover if you enjoy the nature and test Finnish experiences. Thanks to the the host family for this great experience, I hope to come back to discover a new season :)

It was my first volunteering experience and I am glad I did choose them. First of all they accepted my very spontaneous request (1-2weeks before) and we could also agree on flexible dates (+-2days), which for me as a backpacker, is definitely a big plus :) We agreed my stay for 2 weeks, but by the end I stayed there 17-18 days due to my ferry. It wasn't a problem at all. So in general... when you have an opportunity to visit them, you probably should... Good people, chill atmosphere and a welcoming place... You have what you need and they are always open for new suggestions :)

What can I say about my first experience? I found kindness, willingness to listen and help with assigned tasks. Savitaipale is a lovely tourist village with a wonderful lake to dive into. In addition to working at the flea market, there is also the possibility of spending a few days in the lakeside cottage where you can experience a real Finnish experience in close contact with nature.
