What a great experience I can't recommend it enough. Mauro teaches you everything about making coffee from taste color smell how the different ways of preparing coffee effect everything and then you just get to make coffee all day which is very simple and very easy to catch on. The location is also very beautiful as you are sitting at the foot of the entrance to the caja nacional park. The hostel itself is in the heart of the city and when you have your off days you have plenty of opportunities to explore and meet with people. I recommend going to the thermal baths.

Wonderful place in the heart of Cuenca. Work is nice and staff sweet. The hostel is so nice with big comfortable rooms, and delicious breakfast. You will have lots of time to explore the city and nearby places. The only thing I will say is that the host could be better at setting clear lines for the working hours, because it was not always clear when I would be working or not, for example evening vs. morning. But there is respect among staff and working hours were generally respected:))

Well, the position is clearly for the night shift. I think the confusion came from us mentioning that helping with breakfast in the mornings was completely optional, only if you wanted to. But it was never a requirement.

Either way, we’ll make sure to explain it even better next time 😉 Thanks for your feedback!

The best volunteering experience in Cuenca Volunteering in Cuenca has been my best experience so far. The facilities are luxurious, a true paradise after long travel days. The staff made me feel at home with their kindness and professionalism. Mauricio, the host, has a great sense of humor and runs the place with impressive care and organization. He expects volunteers to be dynamic, responsible, and engaged, which ensures everything runs smoothly. I highly recommend this enriching experience, both personally and professionally. It's an unforgettable place!

My first and best volunteering experience ever. The hostel is cozy and next to the landmarks. Also the breakfasts are perfect and healthy. The working time allowed me have well enough free time to explore Cuenca. Working here was absolutely amazing.
