The Experience

We have a cute little hostel and a small friendly team. We're looking for an extra hand making beds and keeping the hostel clean. We're looking for someone who enjoys interacting with new people and is excited to see one of Europe's most beautiful cities. Our hostel is small, so we only have a space for 1 volunteer at a time, but it is a great space to help out a few hours each day while seeing the beautiful city.

An amazing hostel with even more amazing staff. Everyone was friendly and kind which helps create a friendly social atmosphere with the guests too. The work felt easy and largely because of the good company. Edinburgh was stunning and I definitely hope to come back one day.

My time in the hostel was my first volunteering experience and they exceeded my expectations. The work is pretty easy and the staff is the nicest people that you will cross with. Special mention to Natalie and Sophie who always recommended me cool places and were so sweet. Declan, the manager, is a really joyful person and he always respects the timetables. the hostel is the best place to stay if you really wanna enjoy Edinburgh. The location is perfect and the facilities are always tidy and clean, moreover there's always someone in the reception to help you.

My stay at the hostel was wonderful! The work is easy and the hours are fair. Declan was very respectful of my free time/days off. You get to enjoy the company of the super friendly staff and meet guests from all over the world. It's a great opportunity for anyone seeking to explore Edinburgh and Scotland as a local, exchange cultures and practice different languages. The accommodation is in a shared dorm with guests, so this is a position for someone who is comfortable being social and interacting a lot with guests, even if your main responsibilities are housekeeping and cleaning.
