The Experience

Come share the life in the farm with us. We need help in various activities depending on the weather and seasons. Some of these are brushing Lily, our female llama, rebuilding the dry stone walls, maintaining the land around the house. We also need help with the restoration and maintenance of our farm buildings, cleaning the cabins, cutting wood, among others.

I had an incredible 2 weeks here! I felt immediately welcomed by Philippe and Valérie. They really treat you as one of their own. They made sure I got a full French immersion which I really appreciate. I mostly helped cut and sort wood and pick weeds. They take their work very seriously, but they're still fun and enjoyable people to work with which made it way easier. Valérie provides delicious home cooked meals daily, the bed is comfortable and the view is stunning. The hosts are genuinely great people who joke and laugh at lot. I loved my time here and I'm so grateful for this experience.

Travelling alone, and to France for the first time, I was excited but also a little nervous. They picked me up and drove me through the beautiful landscapes of southern France to their home in the hills. There, I got to experience their daily life, their routines, and their warm hospitality. I truly enjoyed the visit, feeling both welcomed and somehow a part of their home. If you're looking to immerse yourself in the local culture and embrace the lovely nature, this is the perfect place for you! (If you would like to know more about my visit, send me a message)

This was my first experience on world packers and it was amazing, I ended up extending my stay. The hosts are great people, they always made sure I was well fed and happy. While working they always make sure you have the correct safety equipment if necessary and are very understanding in any situation, work wise and in general. The dog, llama, goat and cats are extremely friendly and the view from the house is absolutely incredible. The room I stayed in had heat and a very comfortable bed, shower and bathroom. The hosts are very humerus and all in all great trustworthy people. Loved it.

The work was fine but the environment was extremely uncomfortable. I never felt welcomed and was constantly criticized for everything; what I ate, how I used my utensils, even how I wore my contact lenses. I had basic things explained to me as if I were clueless, and I often overheard insults or comments about everything I did. I felt like more of an inconvenience than a welcomed guest. The room was dirty, and there was no Wi-Fi.

Had a fine experience at the farm. The room i stayed in wasn't super clean or comfortable but it wasn't bad either. The food i was served was delicious and the family was pleasant enough. I think our personalities may have clashed a little but despite that, I was fine for 2 weeks there. My french definitely improved as well.
