The Experience

Welcome! Our farm is home to a large family and has been in our family since 1802. In the old days, farms had diverse production, and families were self-sufficient. Farms also played an important social role in their communities. This is our vision for the future. We invite you to be part of our everyday life — a life filled with love and trust. Caring for our farm is more than work; it’s a way of living. The tasks are social, physical, and

I had a wonderful time at Magna's and Micke's farm. They, as their hole family, where super kind and welcoming from day one. We had a lot of talks and enjoyed time together. The accommodation is very comfortable and you share the daily life with them. The work was good and varied during my 3 weeks, with taking the goats to the forest and strawberry picking being frecuent. Since goats weren't producing milk this weeks, they found other activities to help around. The explained the tasks, helped me and let me work independitly. Thanks a lot again for the opporunity and hope to come back someday!

This is a experience I'll never forget!! Magna and Micke are a very kind and fun hosts! I've been spending time with the goats at the forest, and I've learnt a lot about strawberries and farm life. Also I'm a 26 solo traveller, everything was so nice and safe. 100% recommended! 🐐🍓

My stay at the farm was so amazing! Magna, Micke, Helga, and the whole family were so welcoming and made me feel at home immediately. It was so fun to experience Norwegian life through their food, meeting their friends/family, and the trips into and around Tromsø. The work was always straightforward and flexible, with milking the goats being on the agenda most days. It was super interesting to experience farm life and learn about the goats and the greenhouse. If you want to experience Norwegian culture with a really cool family and have a stress-free Worldpacking trip, come to the farm!!

This was an amazing experience! If you are contemplating on going just do it. The family is so welcoming and very helpful. The work is easy once you know the routine and they are honest to the 5 hours of work a day. Getting to town is easy either catching a ride with them or taking the bus that stops at the house. The property is so amazing we didn't even feel the need to go out everyday simple enjoying the views from the house and playing in the snow was enough. We were lucky to see the northern lights from the room window and try cross country skiing!

I am so thankful for this amazing experience! It was so much fun learning how to milk goats and the work was not hard just a little smelly. They provide plenty of work clothes so you don't have to worry about yours! I learned so much about the culture trying new foods, cross country skiing and hearing stories about the history. The family dinners were one of my favorite parts! Tusen Takk
