The Experience

Located on the Isle of Seil, we run about 300 sheep and 140 cattle on our farm, and are looking for a reliable, keen, independent person to help with a variety of jobs. Jobs are dependent on the time of year. In the winter months we need help feeding the cows and sheep, mucking out sheds, bringing in hay and restocking firewood. In spring we are lambing and calving so need help ensuring this goes well.

If you're looking for a real farm experience, this is your opportunity. Every day is different, with new things to learn and discover. The work is varied and rewarding, and the stunning landscapes make it even more special. The accommodation is very comfortable and private, making it easy to rest after a day of activities. It's an excellent experience to connect with local culture, meet local people, and experience the daily life of the farm.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time living and working with Avril and Seumas. It was a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the local community and learn more about the farming industry. The room provided for your to stay was private and homely and was very comfortable. We enjoyed trying new things while working with Seumas, and gained lots of knowledge not only about farming but also the history of the area. They welcomed us into their home as if you were family which was a lovely feeling.

Absolutely amazing place and so many learning experiences. Rides around the farm with Seumas were absolutely stunning and insightful. The hours are a bit long but the work is not that hard just long. Avril is very sweet and incredibly welcoming. I will miss Napoleon so much!
