The Experience
Good day! My name is Rein, the farm lead for Casa Foresta Farm. What do we do? We supply high end restaurants with edible flowers, herbs and greens grown here on the farm. Throughout the season we grow around 40 different crops for sale. We also supply herbs and mushrooms foraged out in the Dutch 'wilderness.' In addition to this, we host workshops in plant, mushroom, and shellfish foraging. There is a lot going on!

I have to say thanks a lot to Edwin and Sebastian, i really enjoyed the time with them. Its been for me a really beautiful experience with a lot of things to bring in my backpack. I was a little anxious when i arrived but at the end i was sad to leave the place. The farm is magic, beautiful and the experience, if you like to smell and eat, it's magic. During my stay i tried different types of flowers and salads and also really great and healthy food km0. The work is long but soft and if you like to stay in the garden is really nice and interesting, i learned a lot in it. Thanks a lot!

Everything awesome, all the staff was always trying to make our stay good. the place is amazing and the cat is soo cuddly. nijmegen is just 20 min by bus away and it's a really beautiful city, but there is also the bike path it's worth it, really recommended.

Our stay at the farm was great fun! Such a beautiful farm with some great people to work with. Only thing I would say is the hours are quite long and the work can be draining. Otherwise, I would really recommend this as an experience. Special shout out to Rein who was so welcoming and made our stay so very enjoyable!!

We had a great time at the farm, we were welcomed by Rein who is a super helpful guy and organises the work day effectively, ensuring you get to engage with all aspects of the farm. The work week is long but rewarding we would definitely recommend it to anyone willing to get stuck in. The surrounding area is really nice and everything is convenient to get to by bike - a swimming lake, water sports and a shop. However, Edwin the owner has a strong personality perhaps not to everyone's liking as he comes across highly strung although this did not take away our experience overall.

Great food, great accomodation, in a very nice area with nearby lakes and cities if you like garden work and don't mind getting your hands dirty, i would recommend this place to everyone! the work is very satisfying and there is always smth new to learn, especially about the different usage of plants and foraging (if you attend the weekend workshop). working with rein and perrine was great, they are both really cool people and i will miss drinking way too much coffee with them in the breaks!!
