Hours per week: Help out and collaborate with your host only a few hours per week.

I had a great experience! The host was very friendly, flexible, and welcoming, and the staff and locals were just as kind. One of the best parts was the language exchange. Not many people spoke English or Spanish, so I had the chance to learn Portuguese, which was both challenging and rewarding. I'd definitely recommend it, but with a note: make sure you know what you're looking for. The town itself is very small and local, if you're expecting big-city tourism like Rio, this won't be the place for you. For me, it was a perfect chance to develop new skills and connect with people.

Meu primeiro voluntariado foi em Guajiru e foi incrível. Ficamos em um quarto ao lado do hotel, confortável, com capacidade para três pessoas, com frigobar e banheiro. Ajudávamos no café da manhã e nos preparativos para o almoço. Agradeço ao Sr. Ricardo, à Dona Daniele e a todos os colaboradores — em especial Felipe, Nayran, Joel, Luiz, Diogo, Jaqueline, Bruno, Clarita e Lucinda, que sempre estiveram dispostos a ensinar e por todo acolhimento. O voluntariado em Guajiru foi incrível! 🌴 Sr. Ricardo e Dona Danielle foram anfitriões maravilhosos. A casa dos voluntários é ao lado do hotel, bem equipada e até com serviço de quarto. Tivemos a sorte de ter um quarto só pra gente 🥰 As atividades são simples e tranquilas, o café da manhã e almoço são ótimos! É com muita agratidão que finalizo esta experiência. A equipe do Hotel me acolheu muito bem, o quarto dos voluntários é muito confortável. A praia de Guajiru é linda, é excelente pra quem busca um lugar bonito e tranquilo pra relaxar e contemplar a natureza. A alimentação é ótima. O hotel é lindo, só diria que não é como em outros voluntariados que temos uma convivência mais próxima com todos, como é um Hotel de alto padrão, todos são muito focados no seu trabalho e não tem uma troca mais fraternal como em outros lugares menores. Mas pra mim foi bom mesmo assim.
