The Experience

Hello travelers! We want to offer to you an opportunity that is about gentle healing and regeneration. A 10 acre block that we, as current custodians, are helping heal and return to original wild state (some clearing and pine planting done in past generations). Also establishing some permaculture in cleared areas. We both experienced volunteering while traveling when we were young and hope to offer the same happy memory making to you!

This is a truly breathtaking experience. Donna and Linda were extremely accommodating to my dietary needs and were so lovely and welcoming. Not only did they teach us so much about Australian wildlife and bushfire prevention we always had a good laugh along the way!, each day was different and brought new things to learn!. Donna and Linda are amazing cooks and we felt truly spoilt with the tasty food we were made along with a breathtaking view over the yara valley. We couldn't have asked for a better way to start our trip! We will miss Donna & Linda and their dogs (Ollie and Kevin)

Linda and Donna were our first hosts and we couldn't have asked for a better start to our trip. Not only were they extremely accommodating to Skye's dietary requirements ( the food was amazing- shoutout to Linda's soups) they were great company and everyday was fun and as Donna says - 'variety is the spice of life' and everyday was exactly that! The jobs we did were wood-splitting, winter prep, planting natives and removing timber. They are amazing company, yummy food, good laughs, great knowledge, we could not recommend staying here more! We will miss them and their dogs (Ollie and Kevin)
