The Experience

Help us with gardening, farming, harvesting and doing social work i.e. teaching in some school. Volunteer able to experience cultural exchange & help to clean the village, clean some natural spring water and river. We are planning to build a conceptual bamboo house or indian house here. If you want an experience that help you immerse yourself in the local culture, this one is definitely worth it. Yuli and her family treat me like their family and she even give me her room to stay comfortably. Unfortunately when I come, it was raining quite hard so that I can not go out and participate in the field works much and it was Ramadan holiday too. However, the host always come up with activities, bring us to some of the local traditional work to see. Thank you so much Yuli for the amazing experience, i will definitely comeback and bring more friends together.

The experince was incredible! Could not have asked for a kinder, more loving family- they shared their house, food, routine and even clothes with me! The work was mainly teaching and inspiring kids to pursue learning English. Many people in the village have never met a westerner before so there was lots of pictures and smiles with the locals, making you feel like a bit of a celebrity! Other jobs included cutting bamboo, opening and processing macadamia nuts, and just helping where needed. If you're looking for a truly immersive Indonesian experince, this is it! Thank you Yuli, I will be back❤️

We had a fun time in the eco village. Yuli and her family made us feel welcome and comfortable and helped us with anything we needed. It was also fun to meet everyone and learn about the local culture. We did have a bit of a strange experience with our tasks, though, and spent each day going to a different school, sometimes in completely different cities or regions and usually without much information about what we were expected to do there until we arrived.

Yuli and her family welcomed us very well. We met a lot of locals and it was fun. I just wish they were more clear about time and tasks. I found it disorganized and with a lack of communication. My husband and I applied because it said gardening, cutting bamboo, etc. So we were excited to help with the garden. but unfortunately we didn't do anything that was written. It was mentioned that there would be social work. However, I would say it was more about teaching English. other volunteers had other tasks. but we basically went to many different schools and each one was far away.
