The Experience

We are a traditional family from India and we take pride in preserving our heritage and customs. Our family business is Camel/Desert Safari and we have a stable situated in the heart of the desert. A life transforming experience! From the second one Nandini and Babu made sure that everything was perfect in my stay, from having my favourite fruits and drinks at home, to travelling and meeting everything on my list. They became a second home to me along with their two children who are just as kind and attentive. Spending time in the kitchen with Nandini really is amazing, it is an experience to relax, unwind and totally immerse yourself in the culture. It is an experience not to be missed and simply amazing. I now have a family in India 🤍. Thank you for everything!

Very good experience to immerse yourself in the local culture. I was picked up at the train station and also dropped off at the bus station in order to get to my next destination. I had a nice room and my own bathroom. The tasks consist of helping Nandini in the kitchen (cutting vegetables, stirring and washing dishes, simple tasks that are fun thanks to Nandini's company). You learn a lot about Indian cuisine and local customs. The conversations that I had with the family were very enriching and I learned a lot. They helped me to visit Karni Mata Temple and also Bikaner. Overall I enjoyed lot

GehI had an amazing time with Nandini and Babu! I felt very welcome and comfortable at their family. We helped Nandini in the kitchen with cooking and cleaning, while leaning new dance skills from Nandini — it was such a fun experience! She also shared a few recipes, for which I'm really grateful. Although I only stayed for three days, they made sure I got to explore a lot of wonderful places. Babu took us to Bikaner and the temples in Deshnok, sharing fascinating insights into their history. I learned much about Hinduism and their rich culture. I would absolutely recommend this experience!

I really had a great time in Deshnok. Nandini and her family are very nice people. I learnt so much about the indian culture and Nandini is a great chef, i had great meals! Also, i got to see a lot of nice places in Deshnok and Bikaner. The work was easy, most of the time i helped Nandini in the kitchen. I can highly recommend a stay with them!

I had a wonderful time with Nandini and Babu! By the time I left I really felt like a part of the family. Every day I would help Nandini in the kitchen where she would teach me how to make traditional Indian dishes as well as use different ingredients to make holistic remedies. Babu really made an effort to take me on different activities like a the home safari, trips to the Karni Mata temples and museums, and to markets in local towns. We've even took a family weekend trip to Udaipur which was so much fun. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for an authentic view of India!
