Hello! I’m a 38-year-old Moroccan living in Tagounite, a small village near the desert. Last year, a flood destroyed our animal barns. I need help rebuilding using traditional clay bricks. Tagounite has stunning landscapes, a lively souk (market), and a rich culture. Explore the desert, learn traditional crafts, and share meals with my family. I spent a week with Karim in his home and it was amazing. Throughout my time there were 8 volunteers and we were treated like family. Karim helped me to see desert life, taking us to different spots for sunset every night, feeding us delicious Moroccan food and overall having a laugh. The work was manageable and done early in the morning to avoid the heat. It also varied each day depending on the energy and environment for the volunteers. We also get weekends off where Karim organised for a group of us to go and sleep in the sand dunes. I highly recommend Karims House!!

I stayed with Karim and Youness for 2 weeks and I loved every second of it! They are amazingly welcoming and kind people who will lovingly show you the beauty of Tagounite and their culture. The work is not that hard and everything is very relaxed. The flood destroyed a lot last year so it is really nice to be able to help just a little bit with rebuilding their farm, its for a very good cause! I would recommend everyone to volunteer with Karim and Youness :)

This experience was amazing!! As soon as you get to Tagounite you become the farm family. From the beginning he was very welcoming, accommodating, and super kind. The work is very simple and there is never really a set schedule here so it was very relaxed. I had so much fun meeting other volunteers and a lot of the farm friends. He also took us on adventures to the small desert and we regularly went somewhere to watch the sunset. Tagounite itself is a really small area with not much other than the beautiful landscape! I had a great time and would love to come back some day!
