This was my first experience with Worldpackers. Unfortunately, it didn't go quite as I had hoped. Communication with the host was always easy and respectful. Maria consistently did her best to find solutions and make my stay as comfortable as possible. The tasks were simple and included cleaning and walking two wonderful dogs. However, I decided to end my stay earlier than planned due to an issue with bed bugs. Furthermore, the description on Worldpackers could be updated. I stayed in Lagos, not in Luz. Also, the tasks did not include any “Building & Repairing” work as described.

Maria was attentive and always ask how I was doing. The work was easy and I was usually done early. I had to leave early due to personal issues but I would recommend the position to anyone who enjoys the beach and a quaint town experience!

This was my first worldpacking experience and it couldn't be any better! Lagos and the guest house is stunning and I enjoyed every single day of my stay. The work is very easy, it includes cleaning rooms, and washing and folding the laundry. The training was provided and well-explained, working hours were good. We sometimes finished early which gave us a chance to explore the area. Maria gave us some tips where to go and what to see. Maria is a wonderful host and made us feel like home. The accommodation was great and she provided us with towels and toiletries as well. Thank you for everything!

The experience as a volunteer at the guesthouse was very enriching. After an unpleasant experience, I arrived in the guest house and found a beautiful single room and direct contact with the host. Marie was very patient with my poor English, she always proposed alternatives and was open to suggestions. I had a bicycle at my disposal and the working hours were always respected, and sometimes they were shorter. I highly recommend the experience. Thank you for everything Marie!

It's was a very good experience here for me. We were cleaning the rooms and laundry; everything about the position was explained to me clearly in advance. I liked the accomodation, it was clean and comfortable. This is a great location in the guest house with lots to do and a good base to explore from. Everything is walking distance to the centre. She was a good host and trained me well to complete the tasks at hand.
