When I first arrived at ban bon doi I was welcomed with open arms. The other volunteers and the people who work there are so welcoming and warm you have no other chance to not feel at home. The afternoon working hours are not super good because you can have classes between 3-10pm but it is still fine and i would do it again.

I stayed there way longer than expected and actually went twice. It's a remote place outside of Chiang Mai, but the small town has everything you need: a night market, food and fruit markets, a 7-Eleven, and lots of waterfalls around. The host takes you rafting once a week, there are parties every weekend at the small bar next to the homestay, and everyone is just amazing. And the teaching is pretty easy. My experience was truly wonderful, and I have no words to thank or describe how incredible it was to live there. “We don't like, we loooove🫶🏼” missing everyone already

The task was simple and easy. Teaching schedule was well organized so you can plan your day accordingly. The whole place has a relaxing vibe and can be vibrant on weekend nights where there is live music in the bar. Locals were friendly and had a great time with other volunteers. The host took us to a bamboo rafting experience after a party the night before. The food was great as well. You have to wash the bed sheets before leaving or atleast pay 40baht. Transportation to Chiang Mai was not easy, have to be a little patient. Overall, the experience was great and made a lot of new friends.

Due to an unforeseen circumstance, I ended up having to cancel my time and leave Chiang Mai much earlier than planned. While I did not stay there, I appreciated the clear communication with the host and their flexibility.

Volunteering at the school was a great experience! This was my first volunteering role and I truly enjoyed it. The lessons are all done over Skype which I initially found interesting but it was quite nice as you have a lot of free time and a lot of flexibility with your teaching style. There is lots of green space to chill, do yoga or hang out with others. The rooms are fine, they have air con and I was able to sleep well :) All of the hosts here are so lovely. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to chill, have a rewarding teaching experience and meet new friends :)

Great experience here. Everyone is very kind and it's well organised as they have a lot of volunteers regularly. Meal times and schedule is all very well explained and had a really fun time there.

My stay was filled with so many adventures, fun and also commitment within 2 weeks. You will prepare online classes for either the morning or evening. The working hours depend on how many students book you- can be 2 to 6 lessons. The accommodation is very peaceful and nice to work at but it's far from the center- easiest way was hitchhiking in a group or local bus. The food was good and they look out for allergies, etc. There are group activities like bamboo rafting and bar nights. The staff is kind and understanding to everyone. Had so much fun and met great people. Thank you!

Absolutely amazing experience, I loved everything about it!! Through teaching English you learn so much about Thai culture. Everything you need is provided & you have a lot of flexibility with the material. The students are eager to learn & engage quite well, most just want to talk. I was teaching between 4 to 6 classes a day with breaks in between & enjoyed it so much that I stayed an extra week. The other volunteers were amazing as well & you spend a lot of time together. I loved the food. The staff were friendly, Ping Pong is very friendly & generous. Beautiful property & great facilities ❤

I didnt like it. I LOOOOOOOVEEE. Volunteering as an English teacher here was an amazing experience. The lessons are not challenging, and they are conducted via Skype. The food was great. Our host, Ping Pong, is an incredible person. He always takes care of you and does his best to solve any issues you might have. It's a fantastic place to meet locals. I highly recommend it and will definitely come back!

This home stay was so peaceful and beautiful, perfect place to be out in nature and with the locals! The work was lovely, I really enjoyed teaching English! The bamboo rafting every Thursday was such a fun experience. I think some encouragement for social activities would make it more fun but overall a great experience would recommend!
