The homestay from which I did the volunteering was truly beautiful, clean and peaceful. The staff and fellow volunteers created an amazing atmosphere to truly be able to live a slow paced and fullfilling experience. The students we taught online were varying in age, experience level and motivation. This made the teaching experience fun, exciting and sometimes a bit challenging (which I liked). I also learned a lot from the students as they are very keen on telling about themselves. I reccomend this place for sure as all facilitaties were perfectly in order.

I spent a week teaching English online at Ban Bon Doi Homestay. It's nestled in a peaceful village (Mao Wang) near Chiang Mai, the food is delicious, and the people (staff and students) are incredibly kind and welcoming. The hosts and her team, go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The facilities are clean and comfortable, and the teaching schedule is manageable: 4–6 online classes, five days a week. You'll be creating your own lessons, spending time outdoors, and connecting deeply with the local community or just chill.

Loved my stay here! 💚 Kind people, delicious food (2x/day), and a gorgeous natural setting. I taught students aged 6 to 60, some became best friends , some hilarious troublemakers. You'll be outdoors a lot, making your own lessons (Engoo is great for ideas). Schedule: 4–6 classes, 5 nights a week. The village is peaceful, 40 mins from Chiang Mai, with a 7-Eleven and market 13 mins away. Perfect if you love nature, meaningful connections, and a slower pace. Bring bug spray & a big smile!

I cannot speak more highly of Paweena and her entire team. They make you feel welcome and provide you with everything you need. The work is self-explanatory and easy, the facilities are clean and comfortable and the entire land the school is in is beautiful. Would recommend anyone who is interested in teaching English on a voluntary basis to come here. Just know that the lessons are online, not in person. Thank you once again Paweena for this opportunity, I will most definitely come back in the future!

I stayed at Ban Bon Doi Homestay and volunteered for their online English teaching class. It was a great experience—peaceful environment, kind hosts, and wonderful students who were excited to learn. I'm glad I could support the local community and be part of something meaningful.

BBD Round 3... It's always a pleasure to be here and teach English to students from all over Thailand and of all ages. With some we even built some beautiful friendship. It's just regrettable to hear some young volunteers always complaining about everything, being rude and disrespectful creating closed and a selective group raising a feeling of discomfort. I knew this place with better people and had really fun with them. Depending who you will be volunteering with this place can be really amazing and live a wonderful experience. Paweena will always welcome you with a smile and a big ❤️🎉

My experience at Homestay Chiang Mai was truly enriching. From day one, I felt welcomed and supported. The onboarding was clear, and everything was very well organized—schedules, rules, resources, and teaching materials. The house is beautiful and spacious, with plenty of areas to work and relax. My shared room was clean and quiet, with AC and a fan. The internet was excellent for teaching, and having access to laundry was a big plus. We received two delicious meals, Classes started around 3–4 PM, leaving mornings free. Overall, the experience was organized, peaceful, and very rewarding.

Oh my gosh, I loved it! The people were kind, the food was delicious, and the site was beautiful. I especially loved the students — I taught ages 6 to 60! Some became my besties, and some were little menaces (in a fun way). You'll spend most of your time outdoors, so get ready to embrace nature. The village is about 40 minutes from Chiang Mai, so downtime usually means a 7/11 walk or local market trip. You'll make your own lessons — I recommend using Engoo for ideas. Bring bug spray and your sense of humor! If you want meaningful connections and peaceful vibes, this is the place!
