The Experience

Hello travelers! We need help to refurbish a house, this includes refurbishing old furniture, painting and decorating, and setting up workshops. We will also help you to learn new skills, such as stone carving, cooking, longbow archer and much more. Now this is our second year, we will be working two houses, 30 minutes apart, dependant on weather and what needs doing, will decide which and what will be done. accomodation is available at both.

My very first volunteering experience could not have been better. Mark and Dee are really sweet, thoughtful, wise and welcoming. There isn't much to see in town and yet I never got bored, as they would always take me somewhere nice or teach me something new. The tasks were easy, the room is nice and bright with comfortable beds and even a sink, which is really convenient. The house is located in the Morvan Regional Natural Park, so the views are stunning and the whole region is peaceful, just perfect for nature lovers. I highly recommend this experience!

I enjoyed my time at the home. Super reasonable working hours, delicious home cooked meals, lots of optional activities to participate in (longbow archery, trips to nearby cities and museums). Mark and Dee are very kind, welcoming, and they have lots of great stories to tell.

It was my first experience as a volunteer and I couldn't ask for more! Dee and Mark are a wonderful couple, they were from the beginning very friendly, welcoming and easy-going. Mark fed us well and taught us new skills and Dee was very sweet and thoughtful. During the stay we visited really interesting places, relaxed and worked the right amount, also I had a great opportunity to practice my English and a little of French. They really put effort in hosting and I really felt at home.

This was a wonderful first Worldpackers experience! Mark and Dee were lovely. We worked on the house during the mornings and they tried to have a fun activity planned for every afternoon. Dee is one of the sweetest people ever and Mark is a man of many skills. I got to meet many of their friends and visit a lot of the local landmarks. Overall, an amazing experience.

Mark and Dee were lovely hosts! I stayed with them for 3 weeks and had so much fun, they showed us around, fed us well and the working hours were respected. It was my first Worldpackers experience and I felt welcomed and supported. Im already missing the french countryside 💚
