The Experience

My name is David and I work with my friend from highschool Camilo, we have a very small hostel, a cabin and camping grounds in the Araucania Andina, Malalcahuello, Chile. We are very near the Lonquimay volcano, and right next to the Malalcahuello National Reserve. The seasons are very unique and colorful, it is a very quiet and relaxed place. Corralco ski resort atracts many tourists in winter and therefore winter time is high season.

My time at the lodge was great. David and his wife Cote are very friendly and welcoming hosts who cared about making my experience there a good one. David took us on hikes and would drive us around when needed. Although the star of the hostel has to be the cat Ellie! The work was easy, sometimes could get a bit boring as it was the low season and the weather was quite rainy. Some tasks were spread out over the day, like keeping the fire going and cleaning. The location is a bit secluded; tricky to do things without a vehicle. Will definitely want to know some Spanish for guests.

The place is very chilly , close to the lodge and I really had a good time with David and Cote) the most nice thing that David and Cote took me a some really amazing places , I could take a lot wonderful photography, the task isn't hard, sometimes is busy . mostly when is cold, you have to keep the fire inside of the hostel , some days have to make a breakfast for guests. Sometimes to clean camping area, but not winter . The internet is super high speed ) I'm gonna miss the time in the lodge , especially cat Ellie )thanks for everything David and Cote ❤️

My experience in Dos Volcanos was great. The work is most of the time simple, only some times hard. You have your single room and it's a cozy place. The nature around this place is awesome and not far from a stunning nature park with volcanoes. The hosts are welcoming and if you want to learn spanish, this is the right place for you.
