The Experience
We are a small cozy hostel in a beautiful Langkawi an island in Malaysia. The hostel is in the main area and only a couple of minutes walk from the beach . We are both traveller so we building a place that is not only a hostel but a home far away form home. My experience in Hous Of lions was great, i learnt a new job the hostel coursw i impeove my English with the screw and travelers. Mantra its so funny and she tried to keep a good vibes in the hostel managing some activities for the guest and volunteers. Was my first experience as volunteer and i really apreciated that they gave my a chance to stay there. And thank you Thami for your kindness and for your pattient 🫶 Terima kasih

This was my first experience with volunteer work. I am very happy and grateful that my first experience was exactly in this place. The hostel owner, Mantra, is a fantastic person. The work duties in the hostel are not difficult and shifts are 4 hours long; the only challenge for me as a European was getting used to the heat, as the weather here is very hot. Langkawi Island is very beautiful and interesting, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy free time. Time passes quickly, and in the end it is sad to leave. I met many wonderful people here and made new friends. Thank you very much ❤️🤟🫶

I had a great time in the hostel Lions and with Mantra the Boss. She Made sure that everyone was included and showed me great spots on the island. We always had a blast going out at night. The work was pretty easy. Cleaning, making beds and sometimes fixing small stuff around the hostel. The tasks don't take the full 4h so you have some time inbetween to chill at the lobby. All in all a great and chill experience. It's definitely worth it

I had an absolutely wonderful volunteering experience at the hostel. Mantra is a truly amazing woman who really makes you feel safe, welcomed, and included from the moment you arrive. The tasks are simple and enjoyable (mostly housekeeping and reception), it's a great way to meet a variety of people and get to know the beautiful island of Langkawi. The hostel is an awesome environment, and in a perfect location that's quiet but very close to everything. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and would definitely love to come again.
