The Experience

We need dedicated people to work on our farm and do also general maintenance of our guesthouse. The activities vary depending on the needs of the farm and the guesthouse, however the work can often be a little heavy and repetitive ( examples: carrying wheelbarrows full of dirt, digging holes, shoveling, cutting wood, collecting manure and so on ). We'd like to have volunteers with a strong work ethic that also like to push a bit their limits.

My experience at the guesthouse was wonderful and I highly recommend it. The place is beautiful, surrounded by nature and peace. The food the lodge prepares is delicious, fresh, homegrown, and I loved the coffee and the homemade jam. Tasks were simple and well-explained by Michel. I enjoyed my free time reading, hiking, swimming in the river, and connecting with the guests. I'd love to come back!

I really enjoyed my volunteering at the lodge's guesthouse. I felt very welcomed, the place is beautiful, lost in the mountains with few villages and some shops around. The job is not too hard and simple, 3-4h in the morning then its free all the afternoon and you can go explore the nature, rice fields, jungle, villages or just relax at the farm. My 2 weeks there passed very quickly, I recommend !

The lodge farm gives you a real insight into life in Laos away from the city. The tasks were simple and varied, such as watering and fertilising plants. There's a lot of free time in the day, but there isn't much to do in the village so make sure to bring something to do/read. The food the lodge cooks is really nice and the beds were comfortable too. Overall I enjoyed my time here, it's a very different experience to the usual backpacking route. Unfortunately I had to leave early due to illness, and had to pay 10USD a day instead of the 6, which wasn't stated in the description.
