What you offer

Hours per day: Help out and collaborate with your host only a few hours per week.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

The Experience

¡Hola! Mi finca está ubicada en un lugar donde casi todo el terreno es seco y no hay árboles, ni pasto, ni plantas. Ya hace tres años comenzamos sembrando, pero aún falta mucho. Queremos mejorar el terreno y aprender también de permacultura. Estamos ubicados en la vereda El Carmen, a 15 minutos en carro del pueblo de Cáqueza Cundinamarca.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this experience. After 18 days, it absolutely broke my heart to leave. I truly felt like a member of the family. I learned so much Spanish, and I helped the family practice English. The more construction-based efforts take place at the finca (farm), and they are very engineering-based. I appreciated that the family adjusted my duties based on my experience with environmental engineering. I felt like my impact was much larger than I originally intended due to their flexibility. I know I will be back as soon as possible, and I plan to stay in contact. 💕
