Honestly, I didn't expect to have so much fun and learn so much! From experiencing farm life and enjoying the warm company of Oki-san to savoring the dangerously amazing food and immersing myself in the local culture—everything was incredibly inspiring. The interactions with the locals were heartwarming and enriching. Arigato for such a lovely time!

I stayed at the farm for 10 days, and I really enjoyed it. Oki-san is a great guy and an amazing chef. We had some good laughs at the dinner table. The staff working at the farm are also really friendly. If you are new to Worldpackers, it's a good place to start your Worldpackers journey since the job is easy and fair.

I really liked my time here. First of all, Oki-san is an amazing cook, so I had delicious food every single day. It's also really nice work and a very nice environment and location. Absolutely loved my time here and highly recommend.

Oki olive farm, I stayed for two weeks and it was a pleasure! Oki san is a very friendly person, I enjoyed having many conversations with him, even funny! during meals (and what meals… delicious) great opportunity to learn about Japanese culture and culinary culture. not just a place but you can live like a local. the work to be done involved farm and carpentry, never repetitive and flexible. I think what real volunteering should be like. thank you so much for these moments. see you soon!

Experience out of harvesting season. I helped at the olive farm mostly pruning. Cleaning at the guesthouse and waitering during dinner time. Me and my boyfriend stayed at a 15-20min walking house. No WiFi. Good equipped. An international driving license is needed. Attractions are far away. Event the supermarkets and restaurants. It has been a positive experience. We could learn and live the authentic Japanese culture. Okisan is a great chef and we could taste amazing meals. I would not recommend long stays. The routine can turn taxing. It's not much to see in the surroundings.

I had a really good time at the farm. We were about 20 volunteers, a mix of Japanese and international people. This made for a lot of socialising and cultural exchange :) Since it was harvesting season our work was to pick olives and the three meals that were served every day were cooked by a private chef. We slept on tatami mats in two rooms divided by gender. Generally the work was enjoyable, the food delicious and the sleeping... authentic. Oki-san is fun company and Megu-san is a truly caring and observant person. I felt very welcome and I learned a lot during my time at the farm.

Beautiful location in the green hills with a lot of small and quiet shrines, gates, and restaurants nearby. There is a staff car that is for use too. Work is 6 hours per day with some dishwashing too. Okisan is a passionate cook which was definitely appreciated when eating meals. He is of traditional Japanese nature but is welcoming of foreign guests and learning about cultures. I stayed here for 2 weeks during non harvesting season in April and this was a good amount of time for me.

If you like the outdoors and varied physical work, then this is definitely the place for you! The scenery is beautiful and I felt very welcomed to the farm, where I have had many good experiences. Recommended if you want to experience more local life in Japan.
