There's so much to unpack here.. The hours and the work was great. There were unfortunately conditions that made me and another volunteer leave early. Lasted 10 days and the other guy 4. The place has A LOT of potential and can become a great place to stay if improved. It pains me that this review is negative. I was promised 3 meals, i got none. I bought gloves, kitchen cleaning supplies, toiletpaper and food for the workers at times. I cleaned so much. Garbage overflowing and dogpoo inside for days. I got bit hard, and i was the only one that knew how to treat the wound. Never met the owner.

Hey!
Please make sure to read the profile before visiting a host. We are offering one lunch, it’s written as well in the profile. The helper house is also managed autonomic (it’s written in the profile as well) as you know we’re all working a lot so if for example kitchen soap is finished you can just communicate it. There are also veggies and noodles or rice for example all the time available (in the profile is written that we’re eating vegan).

We’re having as well a GoFundMe running to renovate the refuge but sadly that depends on kind donators as we’re a non profit. We’re doing our best and rescuing, neutering and vaccinating as many strays as we can. Maybe animal welfare isn’t for you.

I was in Germany during your stay (I’m the manager and founder of the refuge) as i opened an association for the refuge and im still working 24 in the administration and having a small daughter.

Sadly you never communicated with me even you had my what’s app number.

Wishing you good luck and wishing you all the best!

Leeny
