I had an amazing week with Pim, enjoying the opportunity to learn about her life as a female monk. Her mother, who lives nearby, kindly took another volunteer and me on a day trip to Ayutthaya, to explore the old capital of Thailand. Three times a week, children from the community came to Pim's house for playful English lessons, lasting around two hours. Spending time with the kids and their parents made us feel truly immersed in Thai culture. During our free time, we could explore or relax as we wished, with the home easily accessible via public transport. I'll definitely return again.

My week volunteering with Pim was truly amazing! She welcomed me with open arms and taught me so much about her work, local culture, and daily life. It was an incredibly flexible experience, allowing plenty of time to explore on my own with other volunteers while als learn how she contributes to the community. The description mentions teaching, but this is only for one day—so it's a fantastic opportunity to engage with the local community, but don't expect a full-time teaching role. If you're looking for an authentic, meaningful, and immersive local experience, this is perfect! 😊👌

My volunteer experience with Pim was very enjoyable. Pim is noticeably dedicated and passionate about providing exposure to the English language for students. She has a great working relationship with local students and schools. One school administrator I met expressed eagerness to have additional volunteers from Pim's organization. Pim and her mother are great hosts. They are extremely friendly and personable. I am glad I was able to develop a friendship with both. I was fortunate to have my first real exposure to Thai culture and the Buddhist faith through this volunteer opportunity.
