My experience while volunteering at the hotel was great! Really enjoyed my time there. The hours of working were respected, never felt like I wasn't accompanied in the process (Vanessa is such a great support). There was flexibility, I felt like my needs were fulfilled and the location/facilities were more than enough.

They accepted us and a friend for this volunteering, the truth is that the Hostel was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Vanessa was very kind to us and the guys at the reception were geniuses. I recommend:)

The highlight of my stay was the incredible support from Vanessa and Anas, the managers. They were not only understanding but also remarkably helpful. You can truly rely on them to make your experience smooth and enjoyable. During my time there, I learned so much about the kindness and generosity of German people. Their welcoming nature and willingness to help truly changed my perspective. For me their generosity and willingness to help surpassed even that of fellow expatriates. It's heartening to experience such genuine hospitality, and I hold immense respect for the native Germans.

My time at the hotel was really great. It was my first volunteer work and I honestly can't recommend it enough. All the staff were super lovely, friendly and did an amazing job at making me feel comfortable, settled and overall, just happy :) After backpacking for a month and a half this was such a good feeling. The work was chill too, mainly helping with the breakfast buffet, cleaning tables, greeting guests and sweeping. I enjoyed interacting with people during breakfast too, and found this a nice way to also meet people and improve my German. Thank you so much Vanessa and team:))

My experience in the hotel was great! Vanessa and her team are very friendly and flexible, the hostel is very close to a train station, so it's easy to go anywhere you want to. The hostel has a lot of refugees, so doesn't have a traveler vibes as the usual and makes you feel unsafe sometimes. But the work is good and not so tough.

Reception staff is super nice! shifts are not hard but somedays in BF will come a lot of people so if you're shift is by yourself (no other volunteer, there is always someone in kitchen) you might have to be quick, any way, the shifts will depend, you can be asked to do inventory, clean the trash all around the hostel, help in dinner.., in my 3 weeks there was dinner 4 times so you should know that if you're planing your budget, you only get it if a group of guests ask for it. i'd have liked to be in activities for volunteers, feel more involved/welcomed not just work for a bed. :D TY the hotel!

It was a great experience! The workers are friendly and pleasant. The work is quite simple and adequate. The main problem is the room. The window faces the terrace and the smoke from smokers usually comes in. It is also next to the lobby and common room where there is noise until late at night. However, the facilities are very good. For the next volunteers, if they want to meet people and socialise, I would recommend that they make sure that other volunteers go there

This is a nice clean hostel, very good location. However be prepared that they will give you a room in the hostel, directly next to the bar, and your window is directly next to the outdoor seating area. There will be drunk people loudly talking all night long, and if you open your window cigarette smoke will come inside. I came into this experience with an open mind and intended to be respectful and nice, however I felt a great amount of hostility from my existence. I know this is not the case for everyone, and I know I am not a perfect human, be cautious to not make small mistakes.

I had a good time. I helped with breakfast. In the low season, these shifts are calm. I had plenty time to go to the city, which is closeby by tram. I went to the breakfast buffet for free, but I rarely got any dinner, though it was said to be included. I also had to pick up trash outside of the building. The staff members are amazing and I became great friends with them. There are refugees residing here so you can expect to run into them in the lobby. the hotel is a big chain that doesntt host just young travelers. Combining this with only a few volunteers it is harder to make connections.
