The Experience
Hi my name is John, I'm a certified Equine Dentist and my work takes me away from home and I need help with my horses when I'm both away and at home. My horses are kept for fun, and I rescue badly treated horses from time to time and rehabilitate them. If you are a rider of intermediate standard, I can help you improve, but experienced riders are preferred, what is important to me and my volunteers is to keep a stress-free and happy-home

I loved my experience. We live in a caravan, and I was surprised by how basic it was but you get used to it very quickly. We live in community, but everyone has their own space. As for the work, you're not asked to do anything you don't want to do, and the horses are lovely. I learned a lot from John who was really toughtful and I'm very grateful for it. However, I would have liked to have the opportunity to do more during my days, because the place is very isolated, so you have to plan something to do during quiet moments. In the end, I had wonderful time and I can't wait to come back !

John is a very welcoming, gracious, and fun- loving host. The work was light, leaving plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful place, the animals, and the peace and quiet. I learned a lot, met great people, and had fun! I hope to return someday!

This experience in Ireland had been such a fun and educational trip for me. All of the animals, the horses of course, but also the dogs and the cat are amazing. I love the Irish landscapes and I would really recommend to go to work with John within your stay. It is so interesting to learn from this, while seeing more of Ireland as well. The place is a work in progress, but you will learn to love it and I loved being a part of this journey. I loved every part of this experience and everyone involved has a special place in my heart!

I start by thanking all the members of this great family, tour- leggend and not... yes I really felt like I was in the family, I owe a special thanks to Roman who was always close to me at any time, supporting me and giving me advice on the things that had to be done in the stable.. I can say that i have found a great friend!!! the Place that Rounds Us Is Really Wonderful end Well Take core of, thanks to the Great work that has Been Done with love, because I noticed it and I saw that in this place there are people who put their heart and passion into the organisation and care of the horses.

I had a wonderful time with John, truly is a great host and has your best interest at heart! If you are someone who needs to plan accordingly and needs a schedule this might be something to consider, “No plan is the plan!” Going with the flow is something you need to be okay with but everything always turned out wonderful. John makes sure you're comfortable and happy with your stay and chores. The horses are wonderful and so much fun to work with and take care of. I highly recommend this stay to anyone and if there is ever a concern with hours or days John is so easy to talk to. Lovely time!
