Volunteering at the eco village was peaceful and rewarding. The community is kind, the food is delicious, and the spiritual atmosphere is unique. Tasks are fair and varied. It's ideal for those seeking simplicity, mindfulness, and a break from busy life.

I personally would not return or recommend for people looking to explore or travel as this area was very secluded. The closest village was 1 hr and 15 mins away by walking and they say you can get a ride but it it difficult to coordinate that. If you're into Krishna this place is perfect for you but if you're looking for more of a work exchange for travel or experience I'd skip it. Also chanting in the morning is mandatory, and they don't give enough fruit. Not vegan friendly but good vegetarian meals.

It was a great experience, it really helped me improve my English, and it was really nice to be exposed to a new culture. It's far from the cities. The food was very different for me because it's mostly Indian, but since we could choose from a good variety of options, I was able to pick the ones I liked the most. It was really nice to learn more about Hare Krishna and participate in some ceremonies. One thing I didn't like was the fact that we had two shifts: one in the morning and one in the afternoon, which made it feel like a full day of work, even though we only worked for five hours.

This experience was a unique immersion! Starting from the best, it's a very beautiful place with forest around. I loved my walks and felt connected with nature, and also had fun doing activities outside with wood and gardening. However, the tasks were mainly to clean. The division of the duties was sexist, and I felt like Cinderella quite often. Every day I had to clean either in the morning or the afternoon (includes evening). The morning meeting of 45min were obligatory but didn't count towards the 5h. As it was winter, we didn't have time to do anything else during the day. Overall good 😊

Getting to experience the culture aspect of the religion was unique and fun, I got to meet incredible people with surprising stories and life lessons. The daily work was ok but very confusing at first, because they don't have someone who will teach you or show you around, is usually done by another volunteer, they also don't have an organized work schedule and will ask for random tasks, so be aware of your hours and assignments, they won't say anything if you work more hours than agreed, but will call you off if something isn't done the way they expected, without showing you what was expected.

Lovely experience at the eco village. The other volunteers truly make the experience. I was able to learn a lot about Krishna Consciousness, as the devotees make sure to immerse you in their lifestyle. This was a unique experience, and I would recommend to open-minded volunteers!

The eco village was a lovely quaint place to unwind and get in touch with nature as well as other travellers. The voulenteer leaders were kind and understanding and the work was not too hard at all. I l definitely recommend!
