This experience is truly one of a kind! It a really abundant and unique opportunity to see the island and experience work trade! For me it was a wonderful stepping stone to establish myself in Hawaii. If you are outgoing, sociable, ready to work hard and wanting to experience Hawaii, this could be a wonderful opportunity for you. I will say that many factors about the atmosphere change frequently be ready to adjust! I would highly recommend reaching out to the girls currently there to get an understanding of the conditions before your arrival so you can be prepared. I had the best time!!:)

My stay at the hotel was really good. Not only the girls were very nice but there was an amazing communication with Jason. He's flexible when you need it and the work itself isn't that hard. Lots of food provided (so you're never hungry :D) and lots of things we could do, the hotel is 10 min walk from downtown so everything is accessible. It can get messy but as long as everyone's doing their part it should stay pretty clean. It's a great experience to explore the island, meet locals, learn about the hawaiian culture… Big island has so much to offer, anyone should give it a try. Mahalo Jason

My stay at the hotel was amazing! The other girls there were amazing and its so cool to be connected to people all over the world now. The host provided a fully stocked fridge and a car for the volunteers to use, which was so practical! This way we were able to explore different beaches with the car. The work was also mostly fun, especially working at the reception, but also demanding. The volunteers are the only people working in the hotel, but there is a really nice and helpful maintanance guy (Hi Cody!) and if you have any questions or needs you can always text the host.

My experience at the hotel was truly special, I end up moving to Hawaii. the hotel is like family. Good, bad, disturbing, caotic sometimes, fun but in the end you love it. Jason meets all your needs financially, he is very chill, pays you for extra work, lets you use the car to go to nearby beaches when he is not in Hawaii, if he is there during your visit, its better to communicate how often you can use the car. Staff area might feel messy if you are organized person and unsafe smtimes because of crazy homeless guests but overal it was a intensive life school for me and I am so grateful!

My time at the hotel is one that I won't forget. The other volunteers were all incredible and I can truly say that I've made life long friends. During my stay, I was able to meet Jason. He was kind and helped us whenever we needed it. As amazing as this sounds, i had a few concerns. Since this hotel is located in Hilo, it's not the safest town for young women. There were many instances where I've felt unsafe but this can be avoided if an extra door was installed. All in all, this is a trip I don't regret If you're strong willed, and looking for adventure, I totally recommend it.
